Appeal For Witnesses Following Traffic Incident This Morning

The owner of a blue Toyota Corolla is appealing for witnesses following an incident that occurred in West Gosford just after 8.30am this morning.

The Corolla Accent Sports was travelling along the Central Coast Highway between the McDonald's and Racecourse Road.

A broken down car and a highway patrol car were positioned in the left lane, and traffic was being directed to merge into two lanes. The blue Corolla pulled into the middle lane to make way for a bus to merge when it was hit from behind by another car.

The offending car is believed to have been white, and most likely larger than a Corolla. The damage to the Corolla would also suggest that the car in question now has extensive front end damage.

The driver of the offending vehicle did not stop following the incident.
