A life-member of the Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang has become the seventh man charged over the alleged murder of Clint Starkey at Peats Ridge last year.

The 50 year old was arrested at Narara around 6 this morning and charged with murder to face Gosford Local Court today.

Just after midnight on Thursday 6 April, the 42 year old Starkey presented at Gosford Hospital with serious head injuries. Investigations later revealed he had been assaulted at the town's service station.

He was later flown to Royal North Shore Hospital, where he remained in a critical condition until he passed away on Monday 12 June.

Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, assisted by Brisbane Water Police District, established Strike Force Bartondale to investigate the assault and circumstances surrounding Mr Starkey’s death.

Last November, the Rebel's Sergeant-At-Arms on the Central Coast Adam Symonds, 36, was charged with his murder.

The day he faced court, December 22, another three men with Rebels links - Guy Robertson, 29, and Beau MacDonald and Jake McDonough, 25 - were arrested in Woy Woy and Davistown and slapped with the same charge.
