An Officer At Kariong's Juvenile Justice Centre Has Been Arrested For Assaulting An Inmate

An officer has been charged with assaulting a young inmate at Kariong's juvenile justice centre.

Police allege the 54 year old allegedly left the detainee with face injuries after the incident on Saturday.

They arrested him yesterday in Tumbi Umbi, and he's been conditionally bailed to face Gosford Couty on Tuesday December 4th.
