Police have thanked a number of truck drivers who dobbed in a man seen driving on the Hume Highway with unrestrained passengers, including an 18 month old baby.
Police received several reports over UHF radio on Wednesday afternoon, January 24, from concerned truckies about the Toyota Camry travelling south bound on the Hume Highway at Goulburn.
Highway Patrol officers eventually tracked down the car on the Federal Highway, south of Goulburn.
They were disturbed to find a woman in the back without a seatbelt, carrying an 18 month old baby.
There was also an unrestrained 10 year old girl in the back and an elderly woman in the front without a seatbelt.
The male driver was also unrestrained.
The driver copped 12 demerit points and three fines totalling $1319.
