Police have praised the passengers who managed to detain the 25-year-old man who tried to enter the cockpit on board a flight from Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur.
Malaysia Airlines Flight 128 was forced to turn back to Tullamarine after a Dandenong man with a fake device stormed towards the cockpit and threatened to blow up the A-330.
Passengers helped tackle the guy to the floor, who was retrained until the flight returned to the airport and federal police removed him.
Police have ruled out terror, saying the man has a history of mental illness.
Concerns have since been raised about how the man was able to board the plan with a suspicious device, which police have since confirmed, was not an explosive.
Passengers have been interviewed and the man is being questioned.
Ryan and Tanya spoke to one of the passengers this morning.. who described the chaos..
