New South Wales police are looking for a homeless man missing from the Northern Rivers region.

51-year-old James Gregory Auckram is often spotted in Ballina, Queensland and Lismore, where he was last seen two weeks ago by a family member.

He is described as being caucasian, medium height with a large stomach, receding hairline and a scar on the right-hand side of his face.

Police are calling for anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
