While many watched the Logies with keen eyes on who was the best and worst dressed, this year’s ceremony was a completely different experience for a Canberra family.
Samuel Johnson, who won the Best Actor Silver Logie, used his acceptance speech to tell the story of his sister Connie, who’s slowly succumbing to the perils of cancer.
Connie was watching on with loved ones from home, and her reaction is priceless.

Before Connie goes, she’s determined to break the world record for the longest line of coins.
To do this, she needs to collect 3.951 million five cent pieces.
Connie’s final fundraising act for Love Your Sister will take place right here in Canberra on May 10.
She will lay the coins in the shape of a massive love heart, visible from space, next month at the Lyneham Netball Courts.
100% of every donated coin will be passed on to the country’s best cancer researchers in full!
A metre of five cent coins costs just $2.90 – you can donate here.
