It’s the craze that’s gone gangbusters and sent some (ok, many) parents absolutely bonkers.

Those teeny tiny little groceries that families around the country have been busy collecting, swapping and selling.

In some very exciting news, Coles has announced it’ll extend the Little Shop promotion for a few more weeks, while stocks last.

It means families have more time to pick up their free surprise bags containing the itty-bitty shop items, from Tim Tams to Huggies nappies and Dettol hand wash.

The campaign, initially due to wrap up on August 28, has been such a raging success with customers, many who are keen to complete their sets.

Since it all kicked off, several online swap groups have been created, with parents meeting up with strangers in car parks, just to get that tin of Milo or box of Weetbix!

Complete sets are even being sold for hundreds of dollars online!

While it all sounds a bit nuts, it does seem to have brought people together.

“We’ve heard stories about how Little Shop has created mini communities with friends, families, neighbours and work colleagues all helping each other collect,” Coles Chief Operating Officer, Greg Davis, said.

“We are delighted to be able to continue the campaign for customers who have told us they need more time to complete their sets.”
