Police are calling for witnesses to a collision on Cooyong Street in Civic that was caught on dash cam.

About 8pm on Saturday February 18, a white Land Cruiser and a maroon Suzuki Grand Betaro collided while travelling in the same direction along Cooyong Street.

Luckily, no one was hurt.

The driver of the Suzuki caught the collision on dash cam.

It shows the driver taking off without providing any details.

Police have reminded drivers – it is an offence to not exchange details after a collision and all crashes must be reported to police within 24 hours.

Acting Station Sergeant Marcus Boorman said drivers and cyclists should consider dash or helmet cameras, as the footage can provide police with information if there’s an incident.

“This footage allows police an impartial account of what occurred and provides investigators with a line of enquiry if required.”

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
