A lot of people like to complain about how cold it gets in Canberra. BUT now there’s a way to make the most of it!

Three weeks of wintery fun kicks off at Garema Place on June 23, with visitors able to enjoy an open air ice-skating rink with falling snow, a super fun real ice slide, a giant blow up slide and a jumping castle!

Skating At is set to be the fun winter experience everyone can enjoy – couples, families and kids big and small.

And what better timing – with the school holidays just around the corner!

“Although Canberra can certainly be chilly, for many people this will be their first experience of ice and snow,” Skating At co-owner Rod Stoller said.

“For others it will be a chance for them to re-live some of the fun snow and ski experiences they’ve had on holidays without the added pressure of international travel and huge expenses associated with this.”

You certainly don’t have to be an expert on the ice to get amongst it. Anyone can have a go – with staff on hand to help those who may be a bit wobbly at first!

You can get tickets at the gate or online. Secure your preferred date and time today!

And when you upload those magical winter pics, use the hashtags #SkatingAtCanberra, #SkatingatInTheCity or #SkatingAtGaremaPlace.

Happy skating Canberra!
