Manuka Oval won't host a one-day international or a Twenty20 cricket clash in the 2017-18 summer.

It's after Cricket Australia released the Men's Ashes Test schedule, with no local games!

That's despite an agreement between the ACT Government and Cricket Australia to have international clashes played in Canberra.

But it's understood, both parties are in talks to bring other cricket fixtures here, with those details expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

The news isn't expected to go down well with local cricket fans, who have turned out in droves to Manuka Oval for other big games.

Almost 10,000 fans watched Australia beat New Zealand in Canberra, just last week.

The scheduling issue means only the Prime Minister's XI will be played at Manuka Oval in February 2018.
