Canberra’s little princess Annabelle Potts is kicking goals as she undergoes treatment in Mexico for an aggressive brain tumour.
It was a nervous time as Annabelle’s parents Kathie and Adam awaited the results from her first treatment.
But just a few days ago, they received some great news.
Kathie and Adam met with the doctors who told them there is some shrinkage and less enhancement in the tumour area, which means the tumour is less active.
“No side effects this time and she has stopped vomiting since having her first treatment. She is also less tired and having less mood swings, she is so much happier,” Kathie said.
BUT, there is still a tough and expensive road ahead.
Thanks to generous donations and fundraising efforts, Annabelle’s family has enough money for three more treatments, but she’s only had two, and needs 10 all up.
It costs more than $44,000 per treatment - $22,000 for Immunotherapy, $6,700 for the hospital stay including the MRI and $16,000 for the intra-arterial treatment.
Annabelle’s next treatment is scheduled for the 1st of August.
Let’s keep up the support Canberra, so we can keep seeing more gorgeous smiles like this one…
