Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) in Maryborough today unveiled the new branding of its radio stations with 101.9 Sea FM becoming Hit101.9 and 103.5 Mix FM becoming 103.5 Triple M Fraser Coast.

Joining the Hit Network, Hit101.9 will become part of the largest radio network in Australia with a suite of 43 Hit stations across all corners of Australia.

From today, 103.5 Triple M will be a member of the second largest radio network in Australia, with 34 Triple M stations across regional and metro centres in Australia.

The changes which are part of SCA’s cohesive rebrand of its stable of regional radio stations is one of Australian media’s biggest brand moves, designed to significantly enhance the value of its brand assets.

General Manager Greig Bolderrow said, “I’m really excited to unveil to our listeners and advertisers, the new brands for our stations.”

“Under our new names we will continue to focus on local news and events providing our listeners with the best local talent and information – all to a soundtrack our listeners in Maryborough and Hervey Bay have come to love.

“And being aligned to the Hit and Triple M brands will now give us access to more competitions, prizes, live events, experiences, and fresh music, features that until now have only being available to listeners in the big cities.

“Our audiences and our advertisers will be able to identify with brands that are relevant locally, to their region and also nationally.”
