BOM has released Severe Thunderstorm warnings for damaging winds and large hailstones for Southeast QLD set to hit any minute.
The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 12:05 pm, severe thunderstorms were detected on the weather radar near the area between Boonah and Beaudesert and Rosewood. These thunderstorms are moving towards the east.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and large hailstones in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Gold Coast, Brisbane, Coolangatta, Ipswich, Moreton Bay and islands, Boonah, Beenleigh, and Caboolture.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should move cars away from trees, secure loose outdoor items and seek shelter.
