Police Call For Information After String Of Gold Coast Robberies

Gold Coast police are calling for help from the public as they investigate a string of burglaries targeting local businesses earlier this month.

Police believe thieves broke into up to 10 premises including takeaway food outlets, cafes, a hardware store and a medical centre between September 3rd and 7th.

Just before 1am on September 7th, two men entered a takeaway food store on Broadwater Avenue at Hope Island by smashing a glass door with a rock but left empty-handed.

Around 6am that morning the same men broke into another takeaway business located on Bermuda Street at Varsity Lakes, using a brick to smash their way through the door.
