Reports have emerged of dozens of parents camping out for up to 48 hours to ensure their children have a spot at school.
Brisbane's Ascot State School on Pringle Street was the sight of a row of tents, with the enrolment list opening at 8am.
The school is understood to have kept a number of spaces for students outside of the catchment area.
One woman reportedly has taken turns camping with her husband since Saturday morning, according to Nine News.
"You've gotta do what you gotta do to get your kids into these schools," one father said.
