Over the weekend, McDonald’s celebrated the Grand Opening of its newest restaurant in Queen Street Mall, which is the largest McDonald’s retail project in Australia.
The new restaurant has taken over the spot where the original Jo Jo's was.
'Family fun day' celebrations kicked off with a number of special events and entertainment, including cheeseburger giveaways, a live band and an appearance by ya boy Ronald McDonald.
Commenting on the launch, Queen Street Mall licensee Tanya Mulcahy said, “I’m delighted to be opening the Queen Street Mall restaurant. The team and I have been looking forward to this day for months and are excited to bring the newest McDonald’s offering to Brisbane.” The new restaurant will provide 200 jobs to the local community, from crew people to management roles.
The new Queen Street Mall features a McCafe, which serves barista made coffee, and a 'PlayPlace' for the kids, as well as self-serve kiosks.
