Laidley Family's Vehicle Stolen With 3-year-old Inside

A Laidley family have been left traumatised after a man dragged a mother from her car, stealing it with a 3-year-old girl still strapped inside.

Police say the 41-year-old woman was sitting inside her Ford Falcon along William Street last night when the offender jumped into the passenger's seat, pushing the woman's face into the steering wheel before pulling her from the vehicle by the hair.

She managed to grab her 10-year-old daughter but couldn't get to her 3-year-old daughter, strapped in the back seat.

The man sped off, stopping in the nearby Orton Street to dump the 3-year-old on the side of the road. She wasn't physically harmed.

The man got back into the car and crashed it into a fence in William Street, before driving away from the scene.

The vehicle is a 2013 black Ford Falcon sedan with Queensland rego 341 TVX.

If you see this car, call Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
