The Gateway Motorway is a nightmare this afternoon after a section in the road has reportedly sunk "close to a foot".
According to brisbanetimes.com.au, there was a backlog from Bald Hills to Boondall at 2pm, even though the incident happened an hour earlier.
The right lane was closed northbound to manage the emergency roadworks, and was supposed to reopen at 4pm.
"This section has experienced some damage due to an issue experienced during asphalt works last night," a Department of Transport and Main Roads spokesperson said.
"It is not a sinkhole."
