Plenty of us have memories of trips aboard the ol' Broadbeach Monorail in the past 28 years.
But from today, no new memories will be made on the Gold Coast icon.
It went for its final run on Sunday evening, ferrying the last lot of passengers from Oasis Shopping Centre to Jupiters Casino.
The monorail will be torn down within the next six months to make way for a dining precinct and office space on the top floors of the shopping complex.
The track was built in 1989, but years of declining passenger numbers and rising operational costs led to the decision to shutdown the icon for good.
Farewell, old friend.
