Barefoot and wearing a brown prison-issued tracksuit, former Ipswich mayor has front court and been granted bail on charges, including extortion.
The 65 year old was arrested yesterday by the Crime and Corruption Commission.
After spending the night in the Brisbane watch house, Pisasale, this morning, surrendered both his Australian and Italian passports.
Police opposed bail, arguing the former mayor could interfere with witnesses and may even be a danger to himself.
While Pisasale stood with his arms folded, his lawyer, Glen Cranny, argued there was no basis for the concerns.
