Police hunt Ford Ranger over Crime Spree

Bendigo police are investigating a series of burglaries, car thefts and a car fire they believed to be connected in Huntly yesterday morning.

Emergency services were called to Viola St around 7.40am in response to a car fire, which was found to have been deliberately set alight with a jerry can of petrol found nearby 50 metres off the road.

Police then confirmed the Isuzu D-max ute had been stolen from Bagshot on Wednesday and they believe the same offenders broke into another Huntly home, stealing the keys for a grey 2009 Ford Ranger twin cab ute with the numberplate RBP 047 shortly before the fire broke out.

Another burglary in the area was committed at 8am with witnesses saying they saw two males in the area between 7 and 8 am.

Anyone who has seen the Ford Ranger ute or has anyone information on possible suspects is being urged to call the Bendigo police station on 5448 1300.
