Koondrook Wharf Shortlisted For International Architecture Award

The Koondrook Wharf has won three awards at the Victorian Architecture Festival held in Melbourne on Friday night.

The design by Terroir took out the Regional Prize, Urban Design and Small Projects award.

The Wharf is now in the running for the National Architecture Festival awards which will be announced in November, along with their nomination at the 2018 World Architecture Festival in the Netherlands.

The Gannawarra Shire council’s announced the Koondrook Wharf’s been shortlisted in the 2018 World Architecture Festival.


The wharf is up for the Landscape - Rural projects award and will see architects Terroir head to Amsterdam from November 28-30 to present to the panel of over 100 international judges.


It will go up against projects from Norway, China, Spain and India.


Gannawarra shire council mayor Brian Gibson says it's remarkable to see the project shortlisted for an award on the world stage.


“We are very proud of the Koondrook Wharf and we thank the community for embracing this project and assisting in the design process,” added Mayor Gibson. “We look forward to welcoming the extra visitors this recognition will bring to Koondrook and our wider district.”
