Echuca Man Due In Court On Drugs Charges

A 32 year old Echuca man is due to face Bendigo Magistrates Court on Monday following raids in Echuca, Shepparton and Melbourne.


Three people were initially arrested following the search warrants conducted on Saturday.

A 29 year old Shepparton man is alleged to have links with an outlaw bikie gang - the Mongols.

He was charged with a number of offences including possession of firearms and possession of drugs.

A 32 year old Echuca man and a 34 year old Echuca woman were also taken into custody, the women later released by detectives.

The Echuca man's been remanded in custody to face Bendigo Magistrates Court, charged with traffick drugs of dependence, possess drug of dependence and possess proceeds of crime.

Two firearms, ammunition, drugs and weapons including knives and a baton are reported to have been seized during the operation by anti-bikie taskforce Echo detectives.
