Bunbury-Boy Is Creative Force Behind Lego Batman Movie

School holidays brings with it an injection of family friendly films into our local cinemas and this year is no exception. The Boss Baby and Smurfs: The Lost Village for the tiny ones plus Beauty and the Beast and Dance Academy for the PG crowd. Let's be honest though: most kids films are not just for kids anymore and The Lego Batman Movie won't disappoint anyone up for a laugh.

The team behind the follow up to 2014's The Lego Movie includes production designer and former Withers Primary School and Newton Moore Senior High School student Grant Freckelton. Grant has also worked on blockbusters 300, Matrix: Reloaded, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Moulin Rouge! all during his 17 year stint at Australian animation studio Animal Logic.

So when you are marveling over the plastic brick version of Gotham remember there is a little bit of Bunbury in there. The Lego Batman Movie is currently playing at Orana Busselton but tomorrow is the last day to see it at Grand Cinemas Bunbury (just a heads up).
