Bones have been discovered in a heritage listed building in Albany. Local Police were called to the scene after Builders working on the Albany Masonic Hall discovered the remains in a box.

Albany Police SGT Derek Grimes says there is no suspicious nature at this stage while they wait on the pathologist report. Authorities are piecing together the origins of bones found in a heritage listed building in Albany.

Builders made the discovery while renovating the Albany Masonic Hall along Spencer street recently. Forensic police attended the scene and spent several hours examining the bones before taking them away.

Albany Police SGT Derek Grimes says they are waiting on the pathology report before they resume the investigation.
