A driver on Ice has been arrested after crashing his car into a playground at Port Pirie, narrowly missing a child and father.
The 23 year old was allegedly trying to get away from Police when he slammed through two fences on Gordon Street.
It happened at Woodward Park around 5pm last night.
Local patrols spotted the defected and unregistered car and signalled for the driver to pull over, which he refused.
The offender ran from the scene and was found in a nearby backyard.
He'll face multiple driving offences including driving unregistered, disqualified, contrary to defect, to escape Police pursuit, in a manner dangerous and unlawfully on premises and resist arrest.
He tested positive to Methamphetamine.
The Port Pirie guy has been refused bail and will face the local Magistrate today.
