Centrelink Evacuated After Fears 'Toxic Substance' Dropped Inside The Building 7 News

A sugar spill has shut down an Adelaide Centrelink office today, with HAZMAT teams called in amid concerns that it was a toxic substance.

The sugar was dumped by a client at the Noarlunga office just after 11am, with reports suggesting 500mL was dropped on the ground by the person inside the building.

Staff and customers were evacuated from the building, with emergency services also attending.

However, the scene was cleared once it was determined that the substance was sugar.
