Remember that time our entire state had a blackout? Well, this latest hiccup isn’t doing any wonders for our power reputation.
Last night, The Australian Ballet's performance of Sleeping Beauty at Adelaide Festival Theatre had to be cut short after a rat made its way into the electrical equipment!
"[Crews] found a rat had crawled in one of our 11,000 volt [pieces of] equipment and had blown a fuse," acting corporate affairs manager Rani Yorkston from SA Power Networks explained.
Audience members were ushered out of the theatre after the lights went out during the second interval.
Thankfully, it was only nine minutes before the end of the show, so the audience DID see true love’s magical kiss!
As the production was the last in Adelaide, patrons should expect an offer of either a refund or other compensation.
