Adelaide's Most Dangerous Intersections Revealed

The Worst For Injury And Death

Adelaide's Most Dangerous Intersections Revealed

There's concern our most dangerous intersections aren't getting funding to be made safer.

The ten worst for injury and death have been listed with seven in the Northern suburbs, two in the North-West and one in the East.

South Rd/Torrens Rd junction tops the list with 54 crashes between 2011-2015.

Finally, in 2017 it's being looked after as part of the $896 million Torrens to Torrens project.

But the rest of the list isn't so lucky.

Coming in at second worst is the Main North Rd/Grand Junction Rd hotspot.

53 crashes happened there over four years to 2015.

Others include:

Regency Rd/Main North Rd

Fullarton Rd/Dequetteville Tce

Main North Rd/Philip Hwy

South Rd/Manton St

Hampstead Rd/Grand Junction Rd

Main North Rd/McIntyre Rd

Prospect Rd/Fitzroy Tce

Waterloo Corner/Pt Wakefield Rd

The RAA says work to improve the safety and traffic flow at these key intersections is overdue.
