This is not a drill: you can now order your pizza with an Italian liqueur-infused base.
Italian Bar, located in Paddington, are the first in Australia to introduce the alcoholic base.
The liqueur used, Amaro Montenegro, ferments and changes the balance of the yeast. This makes the pizza base a little bit sweeter. Usually, the liqueur is served on the rocks or in your favourite cocktail.
As you can imagine, the one-time special has now been added to the permanent menu due to its popularity!
