Top 5 Fitness Must Dos in LA!

 BUF Girls trainer Cass Maynard just returned from her, ‘Nice and a little bit Naughty’ tour of the USA and shares her top 5 places in train LA LA Land… make sure you pack this list if you ever make the trip to the city of stars!

Body by Simone

Aussie owner Simone De La Rue (who used to work for Tracey Anderson) created this brand that’s become an obsession for so many. This little dancing pocket rocket trains dozens of A-list celebs, including Chrissy Teigen, Karolina Kurokova, Jennifer Garner and Reece Witherspoon. Simone’s 40-minute Dance Cardio class was off the charts, with three dances to learn and lots of sexy hip rolling and hair flicking in the mirror. The vibe here is: just have fun and don’t stop moving. Although this was totally out of my comfort zone it was my number one pick in LA!

Training Mate

This Aussie owned gym is loved by the masses in LA right now since their appearance on Revenge Body with Khloé Kardashian. The Aussie occa experience got me giggling throughout the session. There were plenty of crude but hilariously funny jokes to keep me motivated through the tough circuit-style workout. It definitely made me feel like I was back on Aussie shores!

Bikes and Hikes LA

This intense but epic bike and hike tour is a great way to burn some serious calories while also experiencing LA up close and personal. It’s a two-and-a-half-hour ride and hike tour and is not for the faint hearted. We rode up, down and all around Beverley hills in the sunshine. There was a lot of sweat and maybe a few tears with the up hill rides! We got to admire LA’s beautiful streets, sites and celebrity mansions along the way so it was definitely worth it all the pain!

Roof Top Yoga at ALO 


WOW! What an experience. Now I am no yogi but with morning sunshine beaming through the opened doors and the most soothing yoga teacher ever I think I could become one. Was a great way to stretch out the body after all the other intense fitness experiences and we were in Beverley Hills baby so plenty of amazing cafes to eat and shops to spend money in to follow.

Lagree Fitness


Lagree is where the original reformer beds were created! This place is like Disneyland for fitness lovers. The owner Sebastian controls the movement of the beds from his hand. Whilst doing small muscle work we are tipped and turned in different directions to intensify the workout! There was sweat dripping from places I didn’t even know could sweat. Such a different but epic experience…and I was sore for days!
