WOW Women and the Community Fund Goulburn Valley are together helping young regional women pursue their dream of tertiary education.
This May, the Liftoff Scholarship Fundraising luncheon, aims to connect like-minded professional women to inspire and encourage local business groups.
The team brand themselves as not just putting on networking events, but creating a community of support and inspiration for empowered businesswomen across the region.
This years key speaker is renowned author, journalist and broadcaster, Tracey Spicer.
Spicer has anchored programs for ABC TV, Network Ten, Channel 9, Sky News and Radio 2UE and has become well known for her courage of convictions, passion for social justice, and commitment to equality, not to mention, her wicked sense of humour.
Tracey has written, produced and presented documentaries for NGOs in Bangladesh, Kenya, Uganda, Papua New Guinea, and India, and the National Breast Cancer Foundation in Australia
"Women are the largest emerging market in the world. Over the next decade they will wield enormous influence over politics, sport, business and society."
Be prepared for many fascinating stories through her time as an ambassador for ActionAid, World Vision, NSW Cancer Council, QUT’s Learning Potential Fund and SISTER2sister, and Patron of the Pancreatic Cancer Alliance.
This event has successfully provided seven scholarships over the last three years, in an attempt to nurture the next generation and create the ultimate females of the future.
