The first day back at school is just around the corner, but that doesn't mean the holidays have to end just yet! There are so many fun activities to do on the Gold Coast and places to go with the family. So, if you're still looking for a way to entertain the kids, here's some ideas to keep them occupied:
Slip, slop, slap and head to one of our amazing beaches for a family day out! Build sandcastles, have a paddle in the water, play some beach cricket and get everyone involved for a fun day under the sun - what could be better?!
Have fun on the playground
There are some great playgrounds on the coast, many which will keep your kids entertained for hours! Why not try a different park every second afternoon leading up to the first day back at school?! There's Kurrawa Pratten Park in Broadbeach, Laguna Park in Palm Beach, Pirate Beach in Palm Beach Parklands, Paradise Point Parklands and more - so you have a tonne of places to start!
If there's one thing that's going to amaze your kids, it's the Aquaduck Safari! Here, you can take a trip around the Gold Coast and experience all it has to offer by land and water without even leaving your seat! Plus, every child that joins in on an Aquaduck tour has the opportunity to drive it! You will be the best parent ever!
Head to Air Factory
If sitting still doesn't come naturally to your children, they will LOVE the thrill of Air Factory Trampoline Park! Based in Burleigh Waters, it's the ultimate day out for energetic kids! Air Factory has a variety of zones to enjoy, as well as the opportunity to take part in dodgeball, bubble soccer and slam dunk. You can relax in the Air cafe and let your kids be kids!
Picnic on Burleigh Hill
What could be more relaxing than an afternoon picnic on Burleigh Hill? Take in the gorgeous view and munch away on delicious food with the fam while watching the sunset. This is the perfect opportunity to get together before the chaos of the school term and relax!
