So, before it's too late, we should start looking into how we're going to be affected on our day-to-day duties.
Broadbeach will become a bustling precinct over this period, so if you do work in the area, here are some helpful tips and trick that may help you avoid a traffic headache.
Firstly, here is a detailed list of the road closures:
Don't fret, residents and businesses will require local access permits to drive their vehicles past the closure points and into their properties.
But for those who normally park on the street, it'll be a different story.

Along parts of Gold Coast Highway in Broadbeach, between Hooker Boulevard and Via Roma, northbound., there will be dedicated Games Lanes.
These lanes will only be accessible to accredited vehicles and not open to general traffic.
With so many changes in the Broadbeach precinct, might be worth considering dusting off your Gocard for public transport or your bike for cycling.
